PVDF Sheet For Chemical Industries

Our high-performance PVDF sheets are engineered for the most demanding applications in semiconductor, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical industries. Available in a comprehensive thickness range from 2mm to 100mm, these sheets provide exceptional corrosion resistance, ultra-high purity, and outstanding thermal stability.

Product Details

PVDF Sheet represents the pinnacle of performance in industrial-grade fluoropolymer materials, engineered to excel in the most demanding environments. Manufactured through high-temperature extrusion processes, our PVDF sheets are exceptionally pure polymers free from ultraviolet stabilizers, heat stabilizers, softeners, or flame retardants . This premium material offers outstanding chemical resistance and maintains structural integrity across a wide temperature range from -60°C to +150°C , making it an ideal choice for critical applications in semiconductor, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical industries where reliability is non-negotiable.

Unlike standard plastics, PVDF sheets combine superior mechanical strength with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, UV radiation, and weathering effects . The material’s inherent low flammability (UL94 V-0 rated) and high dielectric strength further expand its suitability for various industrial applications .

Key Properties

PVDF sheets offer a unique combination of properties that make them superior to other fluoropolymers in many industrial applications:

  • Mechanical Strength: Exhibiting higher stiffness and pressure-bearing capacity than PTFE, PVDF sheets provide excellent mechanical durability with tensile strength of 46-50 MPa and bending strength of 80 MPa
  • Thermal Stability: Continuous service temperature from -60°C to +150°C, with heat distortion temperature of 145°C and Vicat softening point at 140°C
  • Chemical Resistance: Outstanding inertness against chlorides, bromides, acids, alkalis, and various energy rays, making it virtually unreactive with most media
  • Electrical Properties: Volume resistivity >10¹³ Ω·cm, dielectric strength of 22 kV/mm, and dielectric constant of 7.25 at 1MHz
  • Weather Resistance: Exceptional UV and weather resistance, maintaining performance in outdoor applications for decades

Industrial Applications

Semiconductor and Electronics Industry

In semiconductor manufacturing, PVDF sheets are extensively used in ultra-pure water systems and for handling high-purity chemical reagents . The material’s exceptional purity prevents contamination in cleanroom environments, while its resistance to aggressive chemicals makes it ideal for wafer cleaning equipment and chemical transport systems .

Chemical Processing Equipment

PVDF’s remarkable chemical inertness enables its use in constructing chemical tanks, pipes, seals, pump components, and valves for the chemical industry . The material withstands exposure to concentrated acids, alkalis, and various solvents, ensuring long-term reliability in aggressive environments.

Pharmaceutical and Food Processing

Meeting FDA requirements for food contact materials , PVDF sheets are employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, food processing machinery, and packaging systems. The material’s smooth surface prevents bacterial growth and allows for easy cleaning and sterilization.

Industrial Components

From gears and rotors to slides and valve components, PVDF sheets are machined into numerous industrial parts requiring excellent wear resistance and low friction coefficients . The material’s self-extinguishing properties  and high mechanical strength make it suitable for safety-critical applications.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Our PVDF sheets comply with international standards and certifications, including:

ISO standards for material properties and performance

FDA compliance for food contact applications

RoHS and REACH compliance for environmental safety
